What you do just before your main workout can have a big impact on your exercise performance.
When warming up it is important to use a series of dynamic movements to improve your mobility. Using static (non-moving) flexibility is an ineffective way of preparing your body to move quickly, efficiently and through it's full range of motion. Save the static stretches for after your workout.
